Independence Day is the birthday of the United States of America and is celebrated on the fourth of July each year.
Independence Day is the anniversary of the day on which the Declaration of Independence (Függetlenségi Nyilatkozat) was adopted by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776.
Independence Day was first celebrated in Philadelphia on July 8, 1776. In 1941, Congress declared July 4 a legal public holiday.
Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, political speeches and ceremonies.
Founding Fathers
The Founding Fathers of the United States of America were political leaders and statesmen who participated in the American Revolution by signing the United States Declaration of Independence, taking part in the American Revolutionary War, establishing the United States Constitution, or by some other key contribution.
